February has a plethora of binge-worthy TV coming your way, but it’s Love Story: JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette that will have everybody talking. (Fair warning: The show will also send you down a rabbit hole about their relationship.) Remember when American Crime Story: The People v. OJ premiered in 2016? This is that, in the sense that you’ll want to devour every episode and uncover what’s real versus what is dramatized.
The limited series, which will premiere on both Hulu and FX on Thursday, February 12, with the first three episodes, will examine the whirlwind courtship and high-profile marriage of one of the most iconic couples of the 20th century: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. While reviews are still under embargo, Paul Anthony Kelly (JFK Jr.) and Sarah Pidgeon (Carolyn) are stellar, with Kelly in particular nailing JFK Jr.’s mannerisms, cadence, and look.
Of course, people had a lot of thoughts when pictures first emerged of Kelly and Pidgeon filming in New York City, with plenty of criticism centered on Pidgeon’s hair and fashion as Carolyn. My advice: Ignore it, and let the series speak for itself.
Love Story: JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette is the first installment in Ryan Murphy’s Love Story anthology and is inspired by Elizabeth Beller’s book Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Writer Connor Hines created and wrote most of the series, and we’ll have more with him later this month once the first three episodes drop. But for now, take a look at the official trailer, set to Japanese Breakfast’s cover of Tears for Fears’s “Head Over Heels.”
Speaking of love stories, Bridgerton is back on Thursday, February 26, to conclude its fourth season with the remaining four episodes. Sophie and Benedict found themselves at odds in the last few minutes of the finale, so now the fun begins of bringing them back together. Plus, Kate and Anthony are on their way back from India, and we’ll get more clues as to who season five will center on (it’s either Francesca or Eloise).
Then, of course, there’s Emerald Fennell's “Wuthering Heights” adaptation (yes, her version is in quotes because Fennell wanted to indicate that the film isn’t a perfect adaptation of the 1847 novel, but a personal interpretation). The Warner Bros. film, starring Margot Robbie and newly minted Oscar nominee Jacob Elordi, opens on Friday, February 13. Reviews are under embargo, but it’s a wild ride, and the costumes alone are worth the price of admission.
Before we get to the full list of shows and movies this month, a couple additional recommendations: Vanished on MGM+ (the more niche streamer isn’t as widely known but it’s worth signing up for a trial run just for this series, led by Kaley Cuoco), Shrinking season three on Apple TV (new episodes continue airing into early April), and obviously, the Winter Olympics on NBC, Peacock, USA, and more.
And one last bit of housekeeping: Paleyfest’s 2026 lineup is out, and the casts of Emily in Paris, Shrinking, The Pitt, Your Friends & Neighbors, Pluribus, Nobody Wants This, and Scrubs will be there, along with a Charlie’s Angels 50th anniversary reunion. For more information and to get tickets for the April 4 to 12 event, click here.
On that note, happy February, and I’ll see you back here next month for the final season of Outlander on Starz, Apple TV’s Imperfect Women, Taylor Sheridan’s new Paramount+ series, The Madison, Netflix’s Virgin River, and the premiere of The Bachelorette with Taylor Franke Paul.
