If you thought Selena Gomez's bronze manicure and makeup look were the ultimate winter combo, she just outdid herself with red mani that pairs just as well with pretty pink blush as it does with a moody lip and sharp cat-eye.
On February 7, Gomez stepped out in West Hollywood wearing a Matrix-inspired look complete with a cinched leather jacket with popped-up lapels and tiny oval sunglasses, styling the look with ankle-slit trousers, classic black pumps and a belted black Prada Bonnie tote. She further leaned into the femme fatale aesthetic with a spicy orange-red lip and a cat-eye sharp enough to kill a man, as her bestie Taylor Swift might say.
It would have been near sacrilegious to wear anything other than a sultry red manicure with this look, which is exactly what Gomez did.
And it seems Gomez stuck with the near-burgundy manicure for her Rare Beauty Galentine's Day event a few days later. We got a closer look at her mid-length, square nails thanks to an Instagram post by her go-to nail artist Tom Bachick, who relied on the Mia Secrets shade Plum Rouge to achieve the “pretty and plumlicious mani" for her girls' night at LA's latest hotspot, Max & Helen's diner.
On February 13, Gomez opted for a black feather-trimmed pair of Sleeper party pajamas she paired with a sweet velvet bow and sweet pink makeup look. It was pretty much the sartorial opposite of her previous monochrome black 'fit, though her spiced plum nails added a mature, romantic touch to her girly girl vibes. Thus, Gomez has found a truly versatile manicure to take us through the remaining winter months before her inevitable return to cherry red shades this spring.

Her latest look is no exception, as one could easily swap out this specific gel polish for a similar purple-red shade.
