You can always count on the Grammys for a few political statements—some years more than others—and this year Justin and Hailey Bieber joined the celebs sporting “ICE Out” pins on the 2026 Grammys red carpet.
The couple arrived in coordinating black looks. Hailey went with pared back minimalism in a sleek, semi-sheer strapless gown and a slicked-back bun. Justin, who was nominated for four awards, wore an oversized, double-breasted suit. Both accessorized with silver necklaces and a single white pin reading “ICE Out.”
Unlike, say, Hannah Einbinder, the Biebers are not normally known for their red-carpet activism. Both tend to skew politically neutral, if anything, so it was a pleasant surprise to see them make such a strong statement on such a large stage.
This year the Grammys are taking place at a particularly politically charged moment. In the first few weeks of 2026, three people were shot and killed by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents, prompting nationwide outrage and calls for the agency to be defunded and for ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) to be abolished. In Hollywood, celebrities have been voicing their opposition to the government’s immigration crackdowns by wearing pins reading “ICE Out” and “Be Good,” the latter in reference to Renee Nicole Good, one of those killed by ICE agents.
Celebs began wearing the anti-ICE pins at Sundance Film Festival and the Golden Globes. Along with Justin and Hailey Bieber, celebrities wearing “ICE Out” pins at the 2026 Grammys included Billie Eilish, Kehlani, Samara Joy, and Bon Iver. And they will almost certainly continue to show up on red carpets as the awards season continues, so long as these immigration policies remain unchanged.
