We can always count on Heidi Klum to make a red-carpet statement, and her 2026 Grammys look was no exception. The supermodel put a futuristic spin on the naked dress—and gave new meaning to the phrase body-contoured—with her custom nude Marina Hoermanseder dress and a “latex mani” to match.
Celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik shared a closer look at Klum’s “nude latex mani,” which he achieved using Essie’s Gel Couture Nail Polish in Sheer Silhouette. While Klum typically opts for milky white nails, this look is more sleek than soft. The even, mostly opaque coat of polish over her XL almond tips give the effect of stretched plastic—landing somewhere between Barbie doll and cyborg-level perfection.

While both the nails and the dress look like latex, the material wasn’t actually used in either. The Austrian designer described is as a “custom made moulded leather dress” on Instagram, which was hand-sculpted to a 3D mold of Klum’s body, according to Page Six. Klum’s leather dress and manicure were both given a high-gloss finish, giving them a flexible and flawless “second-skin” effect.
Looking for your next neutral nail obsession? The ultra-sleek “latex nail” look is low-effort, high-impact, and sure to take off as a 2026 manicure trend. If you’re feeling inspired to create your own, opt for a true nude rather than a white or pink-tinted base, and choose a shade that’s close to your skin tone for a seamless effect.
