It's April 26, which is a perfectly reasonable date to begin the countdown to Blake Ellender Lively's arrival at the Met Gala, which takes place next Monday, May 4.
Though she hasn't disclosed what (or rather, who) she'll be wearing, Lively—one of this year's Met Gala hosts alongside husband Ryan Reynolds—has been photographed out and about in New York City in vibrant looks that seem to be laden with hints. Her latest tease: a monochromatic, traffic-cone-orange belted suit by Sergio Hudson styled over a cutout bodysuit. If she was trying to get our attention, it worked.
Lively accessorized with a monogrammed Louis Vuitton handbag, nude pointed-toe stud heels, and turquoise and orange drop earrings. Her signature beachy waves were parted to the side, adding to ’70s vibe of the hourglass suit.
The Betty Buzz founder was also seen attending Gigi Hadid's 27th-birthday bash in Manhattan over the weekend in a vibrant purple minidress, which she styled with platform persimmon heels and a quilted red clutch.
Also over the weekend, she posted a photo to Instagram from Martha Stewart's farm in upstate New York. Upon first glance, the look is fairly farm casual: She wears a pair of Reformation overalls over a white tank top, her hair swept back in a messy low bun. Look closer, though, and you'll notice the designers in the details: She wore a Chanel handbag, Hermès boots, and custom made Brent Neale earrings and a matching necklace with a rainbow's worth of precious stones.

The common denominator in all these looks seems to be unexpected pops of bright reds, oranges, and purples. This year's “Gilded Glamour” theme doesn't help us narrow anything down, but if we know Lively, the final look will be a serve. The famously self-styled actor hasn't let us down yet.
