Feeling bold? Many of the biggest and buzziest fall jewelry trends are also literally the largest, with oversized gemstones, eye-catching tassels, supersized pearls, and chunky bangles at the forefront of the conversation. There’s a distinctly ’80s vibe running through it all, proof that when it comes to accessories, maximalism is so back. But don’t worry—thin cord necklaces and understated coin jewelry should please the minimalists among us too. Below, our editors share their favorite jewelry trends of the season, plus exactly how to style them.

1. Corded pendants

One inescapable trend this season among the fashion crowd (and labels like Michael Kors, Coach, and Ralph Lauren)is a simple leather cord with an eye-catching pendant hanging off of it—call it a minimalist statement necklace. These pieces add a certain It girl air to shirtdresses, silk blouses, and sharp blazers, all without requiring any additional effort on your part. These picks from Amazon, Free People, and Revolve can turn any outfit into a true look.

2. ’80s opulence

Take a look at spring’s major catwalks and you’ll notice a bounty of Dallas-worthy jewelry: stacked necklaces at Givenchy, puffed-up silver at Chloé, baroque earrings at Saint Laurent, brutalist collars at Louis Vuitton. Rather than styling these eye-catching picks with, say, a gold-lamé number, nod to the ’80s in a more contemporary way with oversized blazers, pleated pants, relaxed button-downs, and cigarette jeans; these baubles stand out against a more understated backdrop.

Styling tip: Use bold jewelry to add a pop to a date-night look. Even jeans and a tee will look considered when you throw on a pair of oversized earrings or a chunky collar.

3. Summer-camp beads

Candy-colored beading provided a welcome dose of fun on some of spring’s most exciting runways, taking the form of crafty earrings at Celine, layered stone necklaces at Chanel, and flapper-coded pendants at Tory Burch. (For its part, the editor-influencer crowd is going all in on bead-forward brands like Don’t Let Disco for 2026.) The result feels like a high-fashion take on the beaded jewelry you once made as a kid. And styled with crisp white tees, tailored jackets, or light-as-air spring dresses, they’re genuinely elevated, mixing childhood whimsy with serious style.

Styling tip: Colorful nostalgia is great for casual weekend styling; throw on one of these pieces to take your farmers market ensemble to the next level.

4. Elegant tassels

Tassels have slowly been taking over every corner of the fashion world, from necklaces to bags to skirts, for the past few months. This spring, they’re set to have their big moment in the form of jewelry. On top of appearing on the catwalk at Zankov and Zimmermann, they’ve also made their way into the accessories at Mango, Reformation, and J.Crew—proof they’re about to be everywhere. Use a pendant necklace to dress up a funnel-neck jacket or a tank top; throw on some tassel earrings to make a statement with a little black dress or a sharp suit.

Styling tip: Impress your trendiest friend by wearing a tassel piece for your next meetup. If you go for a tassel necklace, keep your earrings simple (and vice versa) to let your choice shine.

5. New-school brooches

Scan any recent runway or red carpet (including Chanel), and you’ll start to notice one grandma-approved accessory making its way back into the mix: the humble brooch. While you could raid your elders’ jewelry boxes, today’s brooches are a little more likely to feature sculptural metal, bold forms, and even built-in charms. Plus, since they’ll be attached to your clothes rather than your body, they don’t have to be made of the real stuff—meaning they’re relatively affordable. Take your pick from our current favorites, starting at just $8.

Styling tip: Breathe new life into a simple coat, blazer, or spring jacket by adding a brooch to the lapel.

6. Mermaid motifs

Coastal jewelry was all the rage last summer, and based on this season’s shows, it’s coming back for a second round. Shell pendants popped up at Dries Van Noten, Loro Piana, and Ralph Lauren (which also dressed models in sprays of pearls). Our advice: Stock up on all the conch-shaped rings, seacomber necklaces, and oceanic charms you can before they inevitably start selling out.

Styling tip: While these pieces look great with beachy dresses and bold colors, try an all-white ensemble to make coastal jewelry really pop.
